Model's Crash-Guard Rule Active. Realty Income Corp. has declined more than 15% from its 60-day high while the signal score is very low (below 25). In this constellation, the calculation model suspends its cautious signal and flags a contrarian phase. The background is a backward-looking observation from backtests: comparable extreme constellations showed above-average recoveries in the past, that is neither a forecast nor a guarantee.

MA Trend Filter (200-day)Cautious

ADX Trend Strength32.5Positive

ADX stands at 32.5, a pronounced trend, regardless of its direction.

ADX does not measure direction, only how pronounced a trend is, regardless of whether it points up or down. We use it as a filter: only above a certain value does a trend count as strong enough to give other signals more weight. Direction itself comes from the separate ADX Direction signal.

Regression Intercept1.03Cautious

Fits a straight line through the closing prices of a fixed window and compares its level today with its level a few days earlier. A rising line describes an uptrend.

Momentum2/5 positive
RSI (14)54.7Mixed

RSI stands at 54.7, in the neutral zone between 45 and 55. Upward and downward moves over the last 14 trading days are roughly balanced.

The Relative Strength Index measures the ratio of upward to downward price movements over the last 14 trading days (Wilder smoothing) on a scale of 0 to 100. Our neutral zone is 45 to 55, tighter than the classic 30/70 band, outside of it the methodology reads the RSI as overbought or oversold.

MACD+0.6%Positive

MACD stands at +0.6%, above the positive threshold, momentum over recent weeks is upward.

MACD measures the gap between two exponentially smoothed averages. Our periods are 12/20/9 instead of the common 12/26/9, and the signal threshold is normalized to 0.3% of the current price rather than the raw MACD value, which keeps the threshold comparable across different price levels.

Rate of Change-12.8%Cautious

Realty Income Corp. is -12.8% lower than 63 trading days ago, a negative medium-term price change.

Rate of Change measures the percentage price change over the last 63 trading days, roughly one quarter, a medium-term window, not a short-term daily or weekly read.

52-Week High85.0%Mixed

Realty Income Corp. trades at 85.0% of its 52-week high, neither near the high nor far from it.

Momentum Oscillator+4.8%Positive

Realty Income Corp. shows an accelerating upward move at +4.8%, recent price gains are larger than before.

Checks whether the recent price movement is accelerating or decelerating. Unlike Rate of Change, this indicator measures the pace of the change, not the change itself.

Oscillators0/2 positive
Williams %R-11.1Cautious

Williams %R stands at -11.1, the price sits near the upper end of the 14-day trading range.

Williams %R shows where the current price sits within the high-low range of the last 14 trading days. We read it as contrarian: a favorable signal only fires on a confirmed turn upward out of the oversold zone, not on any low value by itself, an extreme oversold reading alone never produces a cautious signal for us.

Read in the glossary
Stochastic %K88.9Mixed

Stochastic %K stands at 88.9, currently without a confirmed crossover in either direction.

The Stochastic oscillator shows where the closing price sits within the recent trading range. A low or high value alone isn't enough for us: a signal only fires once %K and %D are both below 20 (or above 80) and %K is crossing upward (or downward), a confirmed turning point rather than a raw level.
