Credit Markets with rates, yield curve and stress gauge

The Credit Markets page now shows rates at a glance, the yield curve and the ECB stress gauge. Each section comes with a classification in plain words.

For whom: Everyone

What is new

The Credit Markets page has three new sections.

Rates at a glance shows government bond yields for the US and the euro area, for four maturities from 3 months to 30 years. It adds the level compared with the last 10 years (high, medium or low) and the change over the last month.

The yield curve shows the yield by maturity today, one month ago and one year ago, for the US or the euro area. It names the shape of the curve (normal, flat or inverted) and the gap between 10 and 2 years over 5 years.

The stress gauge shows the ECB stress indicator for the euro area and the US and classifies it against its own history: calm, tense or strong stress.

Each section explains in one sentence what the values mean right now. Sources are the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the ECB, with the date of the data.

What this means for you

Rates and market stress now sit next to the high-yield signals that edgio already shows, and they are explained in words. The page is open to every account.

Where to find it

The page is called Credit Markets and sits in the sidebar.
