Edgio Signals in ChatGPT and Claude
Edgio Signals brings the public Edgio signals into your AI assistant. You ask in plain language about a stock, a comparison, a sector, or the market and get the current state from a curated universe. The plugin is read-only, needs no account, and does not give personal investment advice.
What Edgio Signals shows and what it does not
Edgio Signals is an excerpt of Edgio, not the full product. It shows the current state and nothing beyond it.
What the plugin shows
- For assets in the curated universe, the current Edgio score from 0 to 100 with its reading (favorable, neutral, cautious).
- The signals behind an asset in four groups (trend, momentum, oscillators, relative strength) with a short explanation for each signal. Market-wide signals such as VIX and credit spreads are shown separately because they apply to every asset equally.
- Risk figures, the position within the sector, and summaries for a sector or the market.
- In every result, the data date, the source with a link to the public signal page, the disclosure of the founder's possible conflicts of interest, and the disclaimer.
What it does not show
- The curated universe matches the assets on the public signal pages. An asset outside it is reported as not covered. In the Edgio app you can add your own assets.
- At most three named assets per request, plus sector and market summaries. No complete rankings and no screening of the whole universe.
- No signal history and no signal changes, no backtests, no access to your portfolio, watchlists, alerts, or account. Those are features of the Edgio app.
- No detailed breakdown of the score. You see which signals are favorable or cautious, not the calculation behind them.
- No real-time prices, news, fundamental analysis, price targets, or forecasts, and no orders.
- Results describe the state at the stated date. They are not a personal recommendation or investment advice. If the data is older than four days, the plugin does not answer.
- For some assets market data is currently missing. The result says so, because averages are then only partly comparable.
Connecting
When Edgio Signals is available in your assistant's directory, you turn it on there. Alternatively it can be added as a custom connector using the server address. No sign-in is needed.
- Claude
https://plugin.edgio.at/mcp/claude- ChatGPT
https://plugin.edgio.at/mcp/chatgpt
Both addresses return the same data and wording. They only differ in how links are tagged by origin. Technically it is a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP) without authentication.
The four lookups
You do not need to know tool names. The assistant picks the matching lookup from your question.
Review one asset
The current Edgio score, the signals behind it, risk figures, and the position within the sector for a single stock or ETF.
- Example
- Analyze NVDA with the current Edgio signals.
- Inputs
- asset (ticker or common name), locale (de or en)
- Tool
analyze_edgio_asset_signal
Compare two or three assets
Score, status, performance, volatility, and drawdown side by side, plus the signals where the assets differ.
- Example
- Compare SAP, Siemens, and Allianz with Edgio.
- Inputs
- assets (two or three assets), locale
- Tool
compare_edgio_asset_signals
Review a sector
Score distribution in the sector, its average against the whole universe, shares of positive signals, and a few example assets.
- Example
- What does the technology sector look like at Edgio right now?
- Inputs
- sector (sector name), locale
- Tool
get_edgio_sector_snapshot
See the market at a glance
Distribution across the whole curated universe, the sectors with the highest and lowest average scores, and the market-wide backdrop.
- Example
- What stands out in the market according to Edgio?
- Inputs
- locale
- Tool
get_edgio_market_pulse
Privacy and data sources
The plugin works with public data and needs neither sign-in nor an account.
Public data only
The plugin only repeats signals that are also on Edgio's public signal pages. It does not access any user data.
What a request contains
Only what the lookup needs: a ticker or name, a sector, and the language. Edgio does not request the chat history and does not store full prompts.
What is logged
Technical server data such as time, lookup type, response status, and response time, but not your question text, the submitted values, or your conversation. The hosting provider processes the calling platform's IP address in its logs, which are deleted after 30 days at most. The function runs in Frankfurt.
Links in results
They carry campaign parameters that mark where a visit came from. The link to watch an asset sets a functional cookie (7 days) so the asset lands in your watchlist after you sign up.
Your platform
The privacy terms of OpenAI or Anthropic apply to the chat itself. Edgio does not decide how your chat history is stored.
Troubleshooting
The asset is not found
Use the full ticker (for example SAP.DE) or the company name. For short codes that could mean several companies, the plugin asks which one you mean. Assets outside the universe are reported as not covered.
The result card does not appear
Not every surface shows cards. The text of the answer carries the same content. In Claude and ChatGPT it can help to start a new conversation or add the connector again.
The answer does not state a current date
The data date is part of every result. If the assistant left out the source, ask for the data date or open the link to the signal page.
